pcm before gears?

ok guys I have a nelson tuned pcm programmed to a 4.11 gear ratio which is to be installed by the next two days. can I insall the tuned pcm although I have 3.42 gear ratio for a couple days until the gears are nstalled? will there be bad sideeffects?

Sure, but your speedometer will be off a little.

Might have a little odd behavior in shifting and or lockup and a bit messed up mpg, but otherwise no real ill effects. Especially if it's just a couple days.

Or, better yet just run your stocker until you get new gears installed and then install the PCM.
