Ok been doing research on this also just trying to cover all the bases before making a decision.
(Having no luck with finding info. on a TKO500 swap even sent americanpowertrain.com questions about this an no answers yet so still waiting.)
Ok so to do this I will need the following parts correct? (if I'm forgetting something let me know please)
1.) 700r4 trans. (of course)
2.) Torque Converter.
3.) Torque Converter lock up kit.
4.) TV cable kit.
5.)Dip stick tube.
6.) Shortened driveshaft.
7.) Steering column/linkage.
8.) Crossmember (maybe)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Lance.
Truck is a 1995 gmc sierra rcsb v8 with nv3500.

Keep the stick steering column and put in a truck floor shifter from b&m or Hurst. Also of you plan on using a column shifter then you may want to consider a gage cluster for the indicator.

Ah yes the flex plate can't forget that lol.
Wanna stick with column shifter so would a gauge cluster swap be necessary?
If so could I use a gauge cluster from the 93 an lower with out any problems?
And being that I'm a manual an going to 700r4 would I need any ecm's so it don't throw up any codes?

A gage cluster is not necessary. A gage cluster will have nothing to do with lowering it. Your just not going to have a gear indicator. I was thing you would need a new computer yes. Lol at a scrap yard for a truck with a 700r4 in it.

Being that you have a 95 and they are obd 1.5, I'm not sure how that is all going to work.

I knew that a gauge cluster has nothing to do with lowering a truck lol.....
What I was trying to ask is if I could use a cluster from a 1993 an older trucks.....their style of cluster is different from the 95 an newer style.
But thanks for the information/help it's great appreciated!!

I have know idea if it would work. The ssh is totally different so I doubt it. You could swap the whole ssh to make it work off you want.

As for the ecu is their just a ecu for transmission an one just for the motor?
if so I could just grab the ecu and wiring harness for a 700r4 correct?
So it be best if I took the cluster from a 95 to correct.
