nv3500 4x4 transmisiion upgrade for a 1993 4x4 v6 truck

Other then the nv4500 what manual 5 speed 4x4 trans should I replace it with? Because I have a 4500 in my 1 ton and its fine for heavy truck but probably not the best choice for a k1500 v6 4x4 truck.

I don't think you have any other options for a 5 speed.

You could always do a T56, I'd imagine the swap is very similar to the V8 trucks.

96+ NV3500 would be marginally stronger. T56 won't work without a divorced transfer case as it's a RWD transmission.
