No Heat and temp gauge low

are you sure the coolant is full? other than that replace the stat

without coolant surrounding the sending unit it wont register to the gauge

X2 on the coolant level. Check to see if the radiator and heater hoses are warm after running it for a little bit. But if its not putting out heat I wouldn't run it too long because thats also a sign of an overheating engine.

Anti freeze is low. Same thing happened to me when my intake gaskets went out violently and dumped 2gallons in the oil.

Low coolant will not affect the temp gauge as much as it will affect the heat first. The heater core is higher than the temp gauge sender. Coolant will still be around the temp gauge but air will be in the heater core.

But it does sound like you have a thermostat issue as well.

i had the same issue 2 months ago.......thermostat was stuck open......and gas mileage was very crappy

I went and checked my coolant level, it was an inch or so down from the rad neck, so i bought a new thermostat.
