Newer style rear bumper on a 92?

I have a 92 1/2 ton, & am in need of a new rear bumper (aftermarket one that is on it now is rusted through in the sheet metal section) and found a 01 Chevy 1/2 ton at my local self-service junk yard. They only charge $30 for the bumper & all the bumpers on any 88-98 out there is shot or already taken. Anyone know if i could use this newer style bumper without having to severely modify the brackets? It looked like a similar bolt pattern, i didn't have a tape measure on me & drove a different pickup there. Has anyone already done this or heard of this being possible?

For as many people I've seen put them on, I still can't get myself to like them much. I don't think they look right on the trucks personally.

For me they are all right, I don't hate and I don't love it, if mine hadn't already had one on there when I bought it, I would have just put a roll pan on it instead and probably still wil anyway.
