I've got a 95 k1500 with a 305 and an nv3500 I want to know what years I can use to get a different trans for it also how hard would it be to just put a nv4500 in it? Mine needs rebuilt and the closest shop wants over a grand to do it. What ones can I use? Preferring to stick with the 3500 but open to options. Must.be direct bolt in without changing driveshaft lengths.

A NV4500 is a bolt in also, as long as you get a 4x4 trans, the transfer case should interchange between the two. Any NV3500 will bolt in as long as it’s for a 4x4 and has the external slave since I’m guessing yours has the external slave

A nv3500 will fit from 91-95 just fine

mine has an internal slave cylinder. so 91-95 will work? and an nv4500 would work with the clutch in my truck? i want the 4500 cause im planning on going with a 454 here after basic training

Has the internal slave? Then it would be 95 with the internal to 98 and some 99 models im pretty sure, same years for the 4500, and the clutch will work

Technically any Chevrolet 4500 will work as long as you have the bellhousing for the type of slave you have
