I think I like the Schwinns the most! Very cool bikes. The average kid (family) couldn't afford those growing up. I'm not a bike aficionado, but that "Grey Ghost" is super mint. Is that an original 1971 or a re-release from Schwinn?

The ghost is original and a very cool bike. I’ve only ridden in once lol
On the gold Stingray, I am the second owner lol
Wow! That 1971 Grey Ghost is worth a pretty penny then. And that receipt for the gold Sting-Ray is dated just over 2 weeks before I was even born. $52 in 1968 was a chunk of change to spend on a bike. I was curious and googled inflation calculator and that's about $457 in today's buying power. A bike growing up was an every day utility vehicle for EVERY kid I knew. My parents certainly couldn't afford a bike that expensive for me to bang around on. My bicycles came ordered from the Sears and Roebuck Christmas Wish Book after I'd looked at it 500 times and put a big circle around the one I wanted.

I'm digging the '72. Been wanting to get a 70-73 myself. Tough to find that ideal price to work needed ratio though.

I have had the 72 for about 20 years I picked it up senior year of high school.
They have definitely become more expensive since all the first gens have crazy as* prices now. I told myself the GMT will be my last project (I hope so lol) as there is no more room for toys and we have two young kids too
