They only show 383 short blocks for over $4K, I did fill out their questionnaire asking if they have a 350 TBI short block with flat top pistons and roller cam bosses - we'll see.

I was going to email them and inquire if I could get this as a short block, too. I would want to add my own heads and cam. 290hp just doesn’t seem like enough.

We actually talked about that plus new cam bearings. The only thing is, the rings are over 22 years old too. Although it doesn't burn any oil - YET

If you didn't spin any and if the crank isn't fubar no reason you couldn't right?

Yep, no reason at all. I was thinking about going flat top pistons too, why not get a gain out of this deal?

Yeah, and that brings me back to looking for a short block or a good builder
