When I needed a "cat-back" exhaust for my '97, I went to my favorite Treasure Yard, and cut it off of a similar-wheelbase vehicle.

OEM stainless. Fit perfectly even though it was the wrong model year--slid right into the factory hangers. I paid about $20 for it.

The catalyst and forward pipes are almost certainly going to need to be "new".

I think with him being overseas that may not be as easy as it is for us.
Good idea nonetheless.
