After figuring out that i am missing the overload leaf spring on my '91 and i have Caltracs, I am debating removing the bottom leaf spring and seeing how it rides.
Reason im thinking about this is i think the truck has 3" lowering shackles and i cant bolt my bed back down. I have about a 3/4" gap between the bed mounting pad and frame. Ive cut the pinch weld out and that helped some but still too much of a gap. If i get some 2" lowering shackles im thinking i should be good to go.
Its just going to be a daily driver and play toy so wont be hauling anything plus i dont even have a hitch so no towing.
2" lowering shackles with another leaf removed, Should just about cancel each other out on the height of the truck. Ive already got Rancho 9000XL's too so i can kinda tinker with those to get the ride very smooth.
Ideas?
