15 years ago JCW sold these very useful cargo struts that allows you to store on Suburban the third bench seat neatly behind the second seat.

Unfortunately this part is discontinued. I wonder if we can find somewhere...

I'd think you could easily fabricate some yourself and have a lot less invested, even considering time involved.

When I need room inside a Suburban it usually involves pulling the 3rd seat completely out, folding the middle row flat...and treating it like a pickup truck. Thick sheet of MDF to protect the carpet comes in handy, just be careful sliding it in that you don't break the seat fold handles with it. (only had cardboard available on this occasion)
