update: i went to the chevy dealership today and got me a new remote since they had em stock brought it back followed the steps and it worked in less than min. Now its nice to use a remote instead of a key for a change as i have used the key for over 4 yrs. Thanks again to Paul and Josh for the responses on how to program it. As far as the beeper am still looking on how to do it.

Good deal glad it worked for ya. You might not be able to get the horn to blow with the factory system, but I'm not sure exactly how it all works together.....

have you tried looking for wire diagrams for the beeper. i have a 98 and it does it i have two horns, one in the front behind the grill and one in front of the battery. my guess is the one behind the grill is for the horn and the one in front of the battery is for the beeper system. if that info helped at all.

Actually they both work when you honk the horn. The one behind the grille is a low tone horn and the other is a high tone horn.

Speaking of those...I need to replace my horns...my high is shot for sure, and my low isn't very loud.
