Hi guys,
Long time reader and GMT-400 owner.
My first car was a '97 Chevrolet ECSB K2500 5.7/5 speed that my parents bought new (super clean when I sold it), absolutely loved that truck and should have never sold it. Since then, I've had a 98 Chevrolet CCLB K3500 7.4/4L80E (spun a main bearing, sold it not running), and I currently own a '97 4 door Tahoe 4x4 and a 2000 Sierra CCSB 7.4L/4L80E K2500. I finally found a decent CCSB, only to have it lose some lifters 100 miles after I bought it.
I have finally settled on selling the Tahoe and keeping the CCSB, and have decided to go through the engine to prevent any future problems. ...and do a cam and valve springs while I'm in there. It'll be a slow project, I'm just now looking for a good engine builder near me so I can get it right the first time. I really want to cherry it out, so it'll take a while. Paint is not great, but it is rust free and the dash isn't cracked at all, which is getting harder and harder to find.
You'll probably see me creeping around the classifieds, and adding my insight anywhere I can.
Hopefully the images work, I've never posted here before.
