Hi guys,

Long time reader and GMT-400 owner.

My first car was a '97 Chevrolet ECSB K2500 5.7/5 speed that my parents bought new (super clean when I sold it), absolutely loved that truck and should have never sold it. Since then, I've had a 98 Chevrolet CCLB K3500 7.4/4L80E (spun a main bearing, sold it not running), and I currently own a '97 4 door Tahoe 4x4 and a 2000 Sierra CCSB 7.4L/4L80E K2500. I finally found a decent CCSB, only to have it lose some lifters 100 miles after I bought it.

I have finally settled on selling the Tahoe and keeping the CCSB, and have decided to go through the engine to prevent any future problems. ...and do a cam and valve springs while I'm in there. It'll be a slow project, I'm just now looking for a good engine builder near me so I can get it right the first time. I really want to cherry it out, so it'll take a while. Paint is not great, but it is rust free and the dash isn't cracked at all, which is getting harder and harder to find.

You'll probably see me creeping around the classifieds, and adding my insight anywhere I can.

Hopefully the images work, I've never posted here before.

The Sierra (I don't have any pictures of it of my own yet! It's been in the garage since 2 days after I got it...)

Thank you! I hope to become more active here, although I've never been much of a forum guy. I always enjoy seeing what other people do with their trucks, and thought other people might like seeing mine.

When in doubt just send pics.. lots of guys/girls like to see what all you've done and what you came across.. I love seeing everybody different style.. gives me an idea or what not to do.. either way look forward to your future post

Thanks everyone! I keep telling myself the CCSB is the keeper. Once the engine has been gone through, I'd hate to get rid of it-"the devil you know" kind of scenario. I used to love long beds, but with the right trailers you can load them easier, and have better options for strapping things down and keeping things dry. Now, to get that engine to the machine shop...
