I'm not a fan of long runs of rubber fuel hose. NHRA only allows 12" of unbraided rubber hose, and even if you're not taking it to a strip, it's a very good rule to follow. "A maximum of 12 inches total (front to rear) of non-metallic or non-steel braided hose is permitted for connection purposes only". Steel braided hose and hard lines is the rule. I bought 25' of aluminum tubing, a pile of AN fittings, and steel braided hose to completely re-plumb my Jaguar. It cost a couple hundred dollars, but the peace of mind is worth it.
I just wanted a more direct fuel path for the fuel that was all. The guy who owned it before the guy I bought the truck from was a meth head or something I guess. He had all kinds of fuel lines going everywhere.

I set the fuel pressure to 5.7 or 5.8 psi and it ain't moved at all.

After I deal with this. It's over!. Then I can back to simple maintenance. But this here is whole another story. But I can't complain these trucks are built to last and it's ran everyday.

So I finaly figured out what my real issue was. So I had managed to cut down the hesitation by a lot. I get curious and open up the fuel filter and this is what I found.if you look at all the way nack there. The filter is almost black. So I changed it and whatdda know no more hesitation. I have learned a valuble lesson today.

I hope you found the root cause!

Did I read that previous post right and you were able to straighten out your distributor also? Or were you just re-arranging the metal lines?

Oh yeah distributor is straight now. I got locked at 34 degrees overall I think it's 12 base or something. I ain't messed with it in a while. I took the metal line out after the fuel filter I put 4 foot of rubber hose at the fuel filter forward it will work for what I need now.
It still don't spin past 4k I think I just need to jet up. But I can't get the top covers off to do that. But no more hesitation at 25 percents.
It's not the best looking truck but it gets results everyday. Even after almost 2 years i stilled managed to keep the interior pretty clean.

Decided to jet up from a 247 jet to a 275 jet and then that seem to do the trick takes less throttle to get up a hill now.

247 jets on the bottom 275 jets on top are ones installed. So the carb was running lean seems to be okay now.

White Teflon tape , not approved for gasoline. Are those AN style 37° fittings? With worm screw clamps?
