I just started getting a loud clicking noise behind the glove box on my 92 Extra Cab Silverado. I can make is stop once I hit "MAX" on the a/c controls which makes me think it's the Recirculation Actuator. Where is it and how hard is it to replace?
Yes, that's the one causing the noise. The manual will tell you to pull the dash, which includes evacuating the A/C as you have to disconnect the evaporator core. Don't do all that. Here's a write-up I did on replacing it without dash disassembly ->

I'll upload the pics in this post though; pretty self-explanatory.
Actuator, 1/4" drive rachet, 1/4" wrench, 7mm socket, 7mm nutdriver bit.

On 1988-1994 removing the glovebox liner lets you stick a drop light above and helps illuminate the area of the top screw.

You can remove the bottom screw (just above that gray connector in this pic) easily enough. Middle screw hole doesn't have a screw to worry about, just a small plastic locator dowel.

A little blurry, but for the top screw I used the nutdriver bit, wrench to turn the bit, gasket scraper tool to press against the end of the bit to hold it in place while turning with the wrench. Get it loose then you can just unscrew using your finger on the bit. Slide the actuator off the end of the recirculate flap's shaft and install the new one.
