How much do I cut for 1"

I got a 4/6 belltech drop. I'm wanting to go 5/8. I already got 2" lowering shackles for the back. As far as the front goes how much do I need to cut off a belltech 2" drop spring to make it 3"? I know on the stock coils I need to cut a half coil for 1" of drop. Does the same rule apply for the belltech coils? I had the front end apart about a month ago and want to make this the last time. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

from my experience with a 2" drop coil from Western Chassis, i cut half a coil to get one inch.

I bet it's the same as my belltech 2" drop coil. Thanks for the info, it's a lot of work pulling that $#i+ apart lol.

How about with a stock coil? half a coil give an inch?

Im asking cause I have new coils and only need another inch drop with my spindles..

Yeah a stock coil would be half a coil for a inch.
