Looks awfully wet to have a good gasket. Unless it was valve cover leakkleaking down the block.

When there is a water, or coolant leak that enters the combustion chamber has a cleaning effect that happens as the small amount of water burns off and turns to steam. A little like steam cleaning, and this removes the carbon build up. It looks to me like, the 3ed and 4th pistons are clean, like there has been water or coolant leaking into the cylinder or cylinders. If it was me, I would have the heads reworked. They will check for cracks, redo the valves, magnaflux the heads, and resurface or shave them flat where the head gaskets sit.

Compare your 1st and 2ed pistons to the 3ed and 4th pistons, There is no carbon on the 3ed piston, and very little on the 4th. The 1st and 2ed pistons look like normal carbon build up.
