First off, thank you all for your contributions here. You really are, and have created an amazing resource of information.

I've always looked for owners forums when acquiring vehicles, so, here I am.
Formerly on ImpalaHQ, Trailvoy, 300M Club, Fitfreak forums.

New to me '97 GMC K1500 5.7L brings me here to GMT400.
3 owner, (father, then son was 3rd) 145k mi. Rockers needed, with some small problems that I can fix with some time. Rebuilt trans at 130k. AC works. Solid frame, Interior very good. Purchased with some rocker sheet metal, door patch panel, and a replacement oem console.

Looking forward to getting to know you all as this project develops!

Scored a 2005 Yukon Denali Rims/tire combo off CL for $500.
Being a lazy ass, $30 to pop them on.
Practically new Khumo 265-75-17s

The center caps need attention.
I don't think paint will look right.
Does anyone on the forum hydrodip??
