Next weekend 1/23/21, going to- make that PLANNING TO take the trip out to my dad's to snag the grille, lights, wiring harness and bumper filler from the '97 Tahoe. Going to get the instrument cluster from the '93 Silverado too (tach).
Also going to put the protective film on the new headlights.
Now I just gotta figure out which turn signal housings I want to go with...

If you wanted to make the front end look newer I'd go with Anzo ones they match the the Spyder glass headlights pretty well, or if you want an OEM plus look I'd get a new set of fluted ones to go with the Spyders. I think the OEM plus route would look pretty good on your truck.

I was thinking OEM fluted ones as well.

You can just make out "COUNTY" in line with the door handle but not much else. Whatever county road department in Indiana had it, they had it from 10 miles to 272,333 miles before it changed hands. I'd say for that line of work, it was pretty well taken care of.

Went to dad's house and got the '97 Tahoe grille, lights and wiring harness.
Also snagged the '93 Silverado's instrument cluster.
Drove 55-60 MPH most of the way there and back and STILL averaged less than 10 MPG... 9.63 to be exact.

Got home after dark, and I couldn't stand it, so I swapped instrument clusters and removed my non functional radio. Replaced it with a cubbyhole that was in the Silverado.

Tomorrow I'll tackle the grille and lights.

The second cluster reminds me of the 14-18 silverados
