That’s crazy it worked like that! I’ve considered swapping in cruise control too

I can't find the post where someone who knows their poo said it would be this easy, and it was.
I'm glad I have a '93 Silverado parts truck to go with my '93 Cheyenne, lol!

The Tahoe has a better hood, and the Silverado has a better steering wheel. It's also attached to a tilt column and cruise control.
I'm toying with the idea of making the back half a trailer.

Go camping in the crew cab and use the bed of this one for supplies and gear. I wouldn't be afraid to use it as my first try doing bodywork and paint.

Took the Bug Shield off to find some "custom" bodywork. The next trip to dad's will be to swap hoods with the Tahoe, and to get the tilt wheel column, cruise control components and ac as well.
Kind of having one of those mental chess games with the wife. Seems every time I fill up the Crown Vic, she finds a need to drive a 1/4 tank or so of gas out of it. It's on "E", and the truck has a full tank, so I'm driving my 9 mpg truck to work! That'll show her...Lol!
Going to backfire on me when I try to navigate a 21 foot truck out of a 80% filled parking garage at 7AM.

Hood dent probably came from somebody who smacks it closed, or hits it to open it like it's Fonzie's jukebox. If you keep the hood latch lubricated with white lithium grease, it'll open and close fine. My Burb has a similar dent but not as big.
Parking garages are no bueno for big vehicles. Mom and I had a very interesting (and not in the good way! ) experience in a parking garage in Austin a few years ago, in the Burb. She drove and I was walking around the truck, watching to see how much more we could move, for about 20 very nerve wracking minutes.
Hope you and the Chevy big boy got out okay!

Lol! Honestly, I don't think I'll be doing that again. I mean, I wasn't stuck or anything, but there were a few spots where I used every bit of real estate there was.

Would I be the first if I could come up with an angle kit like the drifters use? :Big Laugh:

Not white-out conditions, but decent for my area. Forecast says 1"-3". Back in '97, a similar event and forecast ended up being 19" of fluffy stuff.
