I'm lost right now I need some help please I have a 5.7 350 with long tub headers on it and they are the ball and socket kind so what kind of header mufflers do I need I want to get the kind that bolts right to the header please help me

Your wanting a muffler that bolts up to that flange? Or the flange with some pipe?

That style of header comes with a reducer/ socket that completes the joint and then you add your pipe and muffler. Headman use that style so try them for a reducer if you don't have one, or you could cut the end off and weld on the traditional flange if you wish to keep it at that diameter.

Header mufflers were the cheapest possible exhaust solution in the early--mid 1970s.

They weren't a good solution, but they were simple and easy.

You can do better. LOTS better. Mufflers belong at the rear of the vehicle, not as far forward as possible.
