So im looking into getting some hids. Im looking at 5k for low beams and 6k for high beams. But I have no idea what brands are the best or anything. And what is the difference between the 35W and55W? Also would I have to get a relay harness? Any responses are greatly appreciated! Pictures are welcomed too! Thank you in advance!

only use 55W in highbeams.

mine are just off eBay, work great, no relay harness.

yup, and it uses the battery instead of your headlight switch as power, not a bad thing.

The brightest light is from 4300 k bulbs. Thats the closest to sunlight.

Its counterintuitive but as you go up in K, your light output gets worse....

When i bought my truck, it had 6ks in it, they were bright but i never cared for them. When the ballast box burned up on them, i just bought some regular bulbs and built a 4hi relay kit myself. its super easy to wire up and im much more impressed with the light output. I also have fog lights mounted behind the grille that burn when the headlights are on. 6 front lights are way brighter than the 2 55w hids.

Well, no.

you can do it with just a relay, but hid's don't like the power "shift" that sometimes happens with just a relay....
