If the SF 14 bolt came out of a heavy half you might not need a conversion joint. But if it came out of a 2500LD it should need one. Remember, find out which U-Joint your stock driveshaft takes and then if it is a 2500LD 14 bolt it should be cap size 1350 and your driveshaft will either be 1344 or 1330.

The u joint on my 10 bolt had the internal clip. I can't find a single conversion u joint with an internal clip. Every one I see at oreillys is 1.188" with the external snap ring.

Can you post a picture of your u joint @dcp1992

It shouldn't be this damn hard. I'm probably overthinking it.

My current u joint measurments are

Driveshaft: external clips
Cap- 1.064"
length- 3.69"

Yoke: internal clips
cap- 1.128"
length- 3.65" (I measured cap to cap instead of groove to groove, my mistake)

I believe I need the S44 to 1350 conversion

And rockauto sent me the wrong u joint straps so this is the current u joint in the 14 bolt yoke. The perfect length, clips don't sit on the inside of the yoke though. And there's gaps on either side of it but its snug with the straps on it.

If I had a picture I would. But remember my buddy had the aluminum driveshaft with external snap rings. His was a Moog/precision 448 (1330 to 1350)

Your stock u joint is a Moog/Precision 235 correct? If so your conversation joint needs to be a Moog/Precision 447 (1344 to 1350). Which is the same one mine would take if I got a 14 bolt go mine.

scott you dont need those clips on the yoke side just the straps, the way you have it the joint will end up failing

Grille guard is coming off. Had a guy offer me $250 for it today. Tonneau cover and a tailpipe and I'll be happy with the truck
