Some of those filters ship with hose stubs and clamps. Others are the filter only, no connecting parts. I wound up with one of each, when I was buying 3/8 and 5/16 filters.

In general, products shipped with hose clamps use the crappiest clamps on Earth. There are some exceptions.

The sort of clamps you DON'T want are the cheap non-shielded worm-gear messes. "Fuel Injection" clamps are much better. Even shielded worm-gear clamps can be OK.
