Factory given name for gmt400

Hey everyone, I just stumbled upon this info that gmt800’s were given a name from the factory on their dash bezel ( inside sticker ). Does anyone know or have come across this on our 400’s, I would check mine but I’m currently out of state

It's not true, to my knowledge. Been all over my dash and interior since day 1 and never saw a "name" I think the short video you saw was for views.

He is somewhat correct. Some years of the 800s had a name and date sticker on the dash bezel. It can be seen by popping the bezel off without removing it completely. It is just an inspection sticker from a quality inspection at the factory and the name of who performed said inspection. To my knowledge no gmt400 has ever had one.

Well I've had the dash out of my 97 and found no name. I completely redid the dash with fiberglass and bond and plastic welding.

Yeah I saw the video and thought that our trucks might have had something. It's been a year of ownership and haven't named my truck yet.

As stated it's the name of a person that was doing some inspection task on the vehicle during assembly.
