Factory Engine color?

I've searched the forum, google, and went through my pics. I can't believe I don't know this... What color would my engine have been from the factory? In this case, I'm keeping it whatever color it would have been on an 89 RCSB K1500.

I was going to assume Chevy orange, but I wanted to paint it matte black.

Anyway, anyone know what the factory color would have been?

All of my Vortec 5.7s have been black, and I'm pretty sure the TBI 5.7 in my '90 square body Burb was black too. Supposedly the medium blue paint used on the late 70s GM engines, up into the late 80s at least, was not environmental friendly and outgassed too much.....
