Good morning. I just purchased a 1992 stepside and my driver door does not stay latched. Prior owner stated the door pins were replaced.
Do I need a new striker? Thanks

You're going to have to look carefully at all the parts involved, as they're all suspect.

Door pins, straight and secure?
Bushings, are they wallered out? Or do they fit the pins nicely?
Door striker, does it line up with the latch?
Latch, is it hammered like a sorority girl on White Claw?
Door and body alignment, is the door sagging?

Sags a little. I was told the pins and bushings were replaced. Still some pkay in the door. The foor doesn’t latch securely so I am assuming the latch assembly is bad. Thanks

If there's still play in the door then the hinge pin holes are probably disfigured, or the PO used crappy pin bushings and they're already shattered. Replacing the latch won't help.
