Alright. SO as you guys know some lovely people tried to steal the catalytic converters off my truck. Dont even get me started on that one...
But I bought a cheapo exhaust off craigslist and bolted it on. It is true duals, with cats, an H pipe, and then two glasspacks. Most of that pipe is shot.
I pulled a nice exhaust off a truck that is 3" with a nice Flowmaster on it. So my choice is to leave the crappy cats and pipe, and Y it into single 3",
OR
Lop off the cats and crappy pipe, and Y it there into the single 3".
Can I do the latter, and leave the O2s? Can't get a real tune right now, so seeing what can be done. I've heard of the resistor trick, and something about using spark plug non-foulers. Any further info on these?
This is being done on a 97 5.7 Vortec.
