deleting airbag on 95 k2500

im looking to change out my steering wheel to one that doesn't have an air bag. how can i get the airbag light on the cluster to stay off

Twist the indicator light out of the back of the cluster.

^^^ what he said. My DRL indicator light went out (I've disabled my DRL's) and I just let it be

At the base of the steering column you will find a 2 wire yellow connector, disconnect that and install a 2.3 ohn resistor inline with the harness end. This will give the SRS computer a false sense that the air bag is good when it does it's circuit checks.

Plus this way the passenger air bag will work if needed.
