Question- im not having much luck finding a non airbag model ; would love to find a 2500/3500 with open pocket above glovebox. But if i cant, technically the airbag should t ever explode as long as i dont hook power to it correc?

Correct. There is even a delete pocket that replaced the air bag, on the passengers side. You may have a hard time finding one though. Maybe a 2500, or 3500 junk truck may have one. I think that was more common on those type of work trucks.

'97-up 400 series trucks that are 2500HD or 3500 should have the dash like Rawhide has (pictures attached). The 8600# + gvw trucks did not require airbags when they were built. Rawhide was built on September 27, 1996 so even the early '97s had this dashboard.

Did 95 /96 1500’s have airbag? Just curious . At this point if i find A dash that has one if i ever find a cubby it can be changed.

IIRC the 95-96 one tons have the "dished out " style dashboard with the two shallow cupholders on the passenger side.

Thats rite. I forgot about that. Yea im
Gona search hard for the cubby style. Found a few on car-prts.com ; but they are either cracked in various spots or complete storag compartments missing

So im getting conflicting information regarding passenger storage compartment. Is it unable to be used / a bracket is in the way on the 88-94 not allowing it to open and be used properly?

And none of the sellers with the airbag delete dash will ship them / none close enough to me to drive to get.

All of the videos I watched showing the passenger airbag removal had dash out. Should i find a cubby model later; is the only way to install it is to remove dash again?

Correct. My 95 only has the air on the steering wheel and the shallow cupholders on the passenger side.
