Missed several on the way home; every little town has a few OBS trucks and often a square body too. Just in Shiner I missed a two door, an RCSB that looked Sharp, and another crew cab! At highway speeds it's practically impossible to get a clear shot. But the best thing we saw on the trip truckwise was between Hallettsville and Sublime, a yard that might be semi defunct. But dayum they got the trucks! I'll post more pics when I get some more research done, but this looks like a place to find some goodies and spend some $$$.

This house/farm is across the highway, got a couple of squares and a 400. The others were in Gonzales at the Walmart and a gas station.

At a VFD training event yesterday. Unfortunately I didn’t get to talk to whoever owned it.

Pretty clean, except for the pollen.

I also saw a rare bird (unfortunately he got away so no pics) an Avalanche 2500. Had PY0s on it and looked pretty clean. How likely is it that it has an 8.1 in it? He did get down the street fairly quickly....

yes 2500 avalanche are pretty rare yes they could be had with a 8.1 I think most of them came with 6.0s though am not 100% on that I also think that the 8.1s got a 5 speed allison

I didn't know that, thanks! I don't believe I have seen another one (not knowingly anyway) and the low production figures explain why.

personally I take the numbers with a grain of salt because I can not prove it right I also read some one claiming that 2500 production was either 3% every year or 3% of the first gen production

think most of them came with 6.0s though am not 100% on that

just looked on wikipedia all 2500s came with 8.1s strangely in 2007 when there was no more 2500 offered the 6.0 became a option
