Something like that I would braze and then drill and tap that bolt hole again. I wouldn’t swap the block for that

It was traditional for Chevy, Olds, Buick, Cadillac to have no gasket between the cast-iron exhaust manifold and the cast-iron head surface.
I mig’d it, everything is working fine. Used pre and post heat, this is not my first rodeo. Brazing and re-drilling would have added a **** ton more time and money.Something like that I would braze and then drill and tap that bolt hole again. I wouldn’t swap the block for that
Frank,The starter location on a Chevy tries to break the bolts every time the starter is engaged. A support strap on the front is cheap insurance.
