Climate control issues, need help

Truck in question is my 88 sierra with the digital climate control. For the past few months its been acting up. The display will go black and everything turns off. When it does this i can hear either a relay or actuator clicking in the dash, seems to be coming from just under the dash mounted cupholder. When it would start acting up i would hit the dash in that area and it would start working again. But that trick is no longer working. Its just off. Is there a relay under there or is that clicking coming from a actuator?

Is there anyone that can confirm weather or not there is a relay related to the climate control in the dash.

No relay. You were probably hearing the actuator maxing out.

Is it possible for a actuator to cause the climate control to power off?
