Chevy W/T vs. Silverado grille?

Just wondered what people's opinions were of the W/T grilles. Really thinking on swapping my 97's grille to a W/T grille so I can get some Truck Lite LED headlights instead of buying another light bar, since the Truck lite ones are actually legal and have great coverage. But I really like the grille I have on it now, it's just too iconic, so I am just kinda tossing the idea around. I think I prefer the earlier W/T truck grille, mostly because it looks a little less ugly, and it's silver, so it would already match my truck.

I vote the GMC W/T grille; sleeker looking and you can put a big billet insert on.

I was thinking about that as well, I did find an image of that, actually looks pretty good:

I will have to check around and see if I can even find one, GMC anything seems to be hard to find. Might just have to buy a cheap one from Rock Auto, if I can't find anything.

I need a fourth option, painted Silverado grille, like your blue truck. Not a fan of the W/T grille I have, and want to switch.

I think I'm just going to keep my chrome grille, I've been thinking it over and not sure I really like the W/T grilles as much as I thought I would.

I've considered W/T grille swaps on both of my trucks solely for the purpose of running the TruckLite LED headlights. I always come to the same conclusion you did though. I like the look of the composite/quad lamp grilles better.

I have been debating whether to black out the grille between the "chrome" strips though. Still need to do the new pkg/turn lens housing frames too.

I would black it out. It will make the chrome and lights stand out .
