Cannot get keyless entry to program

I am having trouble with my keyless entry. When I ground the programming wire it does not lock and unlock the doors. Any ideas?

Did you check the rpo codes and make sure your truck had it from the factory?

I am having the same issue. Just picked up a 1996 RCSB 4x4. I cant get the computer to enter programming mode. What is the RPO code to verify if it was optioned for my truck. thanks again for the help
