95 K1500 TBI 75k miles:
- Replaced the coolant temp sensor, sending unit, and thermostat.
- Grounded the sending unit to test gage

No movement on temp gage at all, along with CHECK GAGES light.

What’s the next move? Thanks!

Which sensor did you replace? The one on the thermostat housing is for the engine computer to adjust fuel and ignition. The one on the drivers side cyl head is for the gauge. They are also 2 separate part numbers also so be sure to clarify that to the parts store person.

I have replaced both, but learned the difference and ensured each was the correct one

Verify ALL fuses/circuit breakers/fusible links.

Download service manual set for your vehicle from the links in the Sticky threads section of the Engine forum.

Verify wire from temp sending unit to instrument cluster.

Verify instrument cluster including gauge itself.
