It will go into reverse just fine and pull the truck up a steep hill backwards. I have no power moving forward. I added more fluid and more fluid. I was able to drive it around for a few miles then I came home and parked it. On startup its not moving again. I added more fluid and looked for leaks. I'm very sure the tranny must be over filled by now. Anyone have any ideas? rebuild time :-( ?

thanks
Nick

Unplug the main connector on the side of the trans, it should lock itself in second and move forward then.

im going to do a couple of things

1. pull the connector for the tranny harness to see if it will go into 2nd
2. pull the pan and see if the filter is loose.
3. install new fluid and see if that helps, but then again the old fluid is very new with only 800 miles.
4. last chance I will replace the filter and fluid.

if the filter is not the problem then I'm going to have to take the tranny to be rebuilt .

I think it's a lost cause, should probably just sell me the truck, for cheap too, I'd be doing you a favor:Big Laugh:

update,

1. removed the tranny computer connector - fail
2. replaced fluid and filter - move for a bit and started smoking

3. going to try a 18k miles craigslist tranny for $750 :p
