Pretty much what I did. Rustoleum Rust Reformer and going to topcoat with Rustoleum brush-on enamel. If it goes to pot, I'll try something else. Waiting on parts from my supplier to fix the little holes and then going to put new carpet and pad over it instead of the vinyl floor. Should help keep things dry underneath. I think it'll be fine. I quite literally did get tired of overthinking it and just went with what was available close to me. If this fails, I can remove it and try something else. I'll check it in fall when I put the truck away for the winter and report back.I wouldn't get too **** about what to use there. That's just patina, and all the cool kids love that. Wire brush and treat with any good rust treatment. Coat with a good paint over that and it will last another 25 years.
