Hi guys, i inherited my dads 1998 1500 2wd, RCLB that holds a special place in my heart and a parts truck he dragged into his yard from the neighbor kid, a 1994 2500 8 lug, 2wd, RCLB. 2500 has a GM Goodwrench 350 sticker on the core support but i was told the engine is weak.

Is there anything i should look at getting off the 2500? He was taking the door off b.c its doors are solid. I was contemplating the 4L80 and TBI 350 if i can get it running and maybe the leaf springs? 1500 has 15x10s so the rear end is ehh for me

Ima racer. Eventually has to move my WRX but return me to bracket racing faster than 8.5 1/8ths

There are parts you could keep for future purposes/ projects. There both small blocks, but much different. 1 st generation truck fuel injection and 2nd generation. You know there both apples, but ones a green granny smith, and other is ruby red. So it's a yes and a no.
