98 tahoe 2wd 2dr fuel tank.

ok stupid thing here. Can you tell me how the fuel tank actually mounts. I mean i know that it used straps and slips in a bracket at the front and bolts up in the back but are all the attachment points on the frame or body or both?

The guy who i bought it from raised the tank and the straps fronts are on the body and the bolts are on the back but i have no clue if this is thee way they mount from the factory. Here are a few pics.

Ok think i have this figured out, but i can use a fuel tank from a 94-99 tahoe as long as it is a 2wd 2door right? and then just get the sending unit to match. I can find 94-97 all day long in the salvage yard but no 98-99.
