Starting a proper build thread. Check the progress. I will have fixtures for all the parts and I'm building everything minus spindles cuz I haven't decided if I need them yet. The gmt800 have a good base to work off.
DETAILS: fabricated upper and lower arms, fabricated pitman and idler arms/idler arm bracket, and fabricated center link. 2.5x8" coilovers, extended travel cvs from a 2009+ Silverado cuz they are 1 15/16" wider than gmt400. Same splines and inner Flange bolt patterns. Perfect width for the mid travel stance.
Idler arm bracket: using 4-22mm bore x 44mm x 12mm thick sealed roller bearings for the shaft, rather than the ****** thin plastic inner liners all stock have. Re-using the 22mm shaft, I made it work for this setup.
Idler/pitman arms, will be fabricated, my cnc is down so I can't cut any new parts today.
Centerlink: using bronze lubricated bushings and 3/4" bolts, pivots will be in double shear to STOP center link from rolling. And making the ends threaded to accept the clevis for the heim joints. Also making those myself in the lathe
I WILL BE POSTING UPDATES FREQUENTLY:
I'm planning to sell parts as ordered so hopefully I can create some interest. Also have all my old crap for sale. Brand new Bilstein yellows, torsion keys and upper arms, also have heim tie rods for 3/4" heims. Set of KYB shocks for front and rear as well. Ride great but used. And lots of random ball joints/heims/fabrication stuff. And a set of fox shocks too 2.0x11" for sale
