97 Chevy k1500 rear end clunk, it only happens after stopping or when your hard on the brake at low speeds,

Check dem u bolts

I think you mean U-joints. I would check brakes after that, make sure nothing broke inside the drums

On mine I have a clunk and it's slop in the pinion gear after 227k. If it's not your U-Joints It could be that.
