Hey guys,

I am looking at removing a passenger side cup holder piece from a 95-96 truck. I want to remove one to paint metallic silver to complete my silver accenting look (might post pics later on when I'm done). Mine is just blue right now and don't want to repaint it, would rather paint a gray, junk yard cup holder one, just in case I change my mind and want to put the blue one back in. I wouldn't think it'd be too hard...

Not sure how the person got it out. And what would be the best way to retain the 2 top circle clips without breaking them? I broke my blue ones, and would like to keep the clips from the one I'm removing to paint.

Going to the junk yard tomorrow to scout for some more parts for the silver accenting project.

Thanks!!

there are those 2 fasteners in it. i forget if you push the center in or pull it out to unlock it and pull them out. then just yank it off. those 3 long **** on the bottom engage in a clamp thing. its mindblowing how little is really holding that thing in

Oh ok, didn't know that. I ended up not liking the silver accents, just going to stick to my blue. But this is useful, thanks man! :) Next time in the yard, I will look for those to just for a "test."
