Looking VERY hard at a 94 C2500 454. My only issue is the 2wd part. I have 2 spare 4x4 4l80's and atleast one working tcase (ds drop 241).

I have access to a 79ford Hp 44 8 lug (own the wrecked truck), 80's ford 60 (own the wrecked truck), and front and rear 05 dodge axles (friend own the truck).

Now I need to figure out what to use. Everyone does leafs and 6" or more lift. I was thinking the Dodge axles w/ coils (or bags) and maybe 4" lift. I don't need a lot of flex, stock dodge or ford axle movement is fine.

So the question, does any one know if the stock 2wd coil buckets get anywhere close to the Dodge front axle buckets?

Could someone measure their 2wd GMT400 front bucket width (inside to inside and bucket width itself)?

If anyone has a 4x4 dodge handy could you please get a measurement (same specs)?

Thanks for any help!

Sub'd, i have been thinking of doing this, using a dodge axle and using the stock GMT400 coil bucket's if possible.

Can it be done?

off road designs kit will work for 2wd

X2 I have a Offroad Designs kit installed on my truck with a 2wd frame. my brackets are a little taller than the frame but thats because the 2wd frames are not as tall as the 4wd ones, still fits well.

I measured 27.5" from inside to inside of the buckets.
I don't have all of my coil buckets left but they are around 7-8' wide

The 24V front axle measures 41" center to center and a coil diameter of 7 1/2". Coil wise it will work but looks like the C1500 is for sure too narrow by at least 6". I doubt the C2500-3500 is much, if any, wider. I think I will hold off on that plan. I have 2 good kingpin axles to use.

I might be looking at a 89 K2500LD now. I also have a 96 K2500HD that needs a body (I know where to find a 94 w/ bent frame)
