Hello all,

I have a problem that I can't find an answer for.....

I own a 90 single cab SB chevy with 4.3L 5 speed stock. I am keeping the 5 speed tranny.
The motor has completely ****.
I bough a 93 gmc single cab LB with 4.3L auto OD stock.

although they look identical, there are a few things I noticed....
1. the spark gap is different the 93 has .045 and the 90 is .035
2. the replacements for computers and long blocks are different part #'s on O'reillys

these are both 4.3 TBI Z code vin without balance shaft.

My questions are:

1. do/can I use the 93 computer with the 93 block in the 90 truck?
2. can I move the 93 motor straight across to the manual truck from the automatic?

Thanks in advance!!

Use the computer that’s in your truck now (the 90)
Use the 1990 throttle body.
Only thing you need to do to the 93 motor is install a pilot bushing/bearing in the crankshaft.
Use either gap as long as you use the same on all 6 plugs.
