My '89 has the Moonie style cluster with the built-in DRAC. Gonna swap that for a tach cluster from a '93 Suburban so that the PCM can drive the speedometer (4L60E trans.)

Looks good, what valve covers did you use? They don't look stock.

Those are Holley LS tall covers. Don't really need the tall ones but I thought they looked better.

Installed new steering shaft from Cunningham Machine, hopefully that and the rebuilt column will make the steering a bit less sloppy.

And my weekend plans other than Christmas. New rear brakes and master cylinder. Rear slaves and master leak. All AC-Delco but mostly made in China. Only the shoes are made in Mexico. Hopefully the quality control is a bit better for AC Delco parts.

Didn’t do my brakes today. Went to the junkyard instead. Going to wait so I can use the lift at my buddy’s shop.

Scored an under hood reel light and full harness that was not cut.

Got some hook style wiper arms

GM rear light boards? Or whatever they are called.

92 engine wiring harness. Just in case I redo my setup again.

Rear panel carpet and the correct rear passenger panel. Current one is from a newer model and I had to cut it and the coat hook doesn’t line up.

Almost bought some 6-way adjustable seats from a suburban. They would have fit and were decent. Needed new covers but they were not torn. The more I thought about it though I like the highback seats from 88-94. Just need to find a passenger one I can use for parts.

Pulled out the vinyl flooring and found the only rust I have seen on the truck for the most part. Going to clean it up, sand the rust and paint.

Used some random blue paint after cleanup. It was only surface rust so just wire brushed the rust and bubbled paint. Primer then electric blue.

Sound mat, padding and carpet should arrive today. Have Monday off so probably do most of it then. It dropped to the 20s today wish it would have showed up when it was 70 yesterday.

Ran the wires for the amp and hooked up the 4 speakers. No sub yet and sound mat did not show up.

I left the wires long as I am not sure if it will go here was thinking behind the rear seat or under the drivers seat. It’s a bit long but I think it should be covered by the seat.

Does anyone know if there is enough space with the folding seat to mount the amp on the rear wall?

I started putting down the sound mat but ran out, had a 50 sqft roll. I have some more showing up this week so hopefully I can finish it soon.
