Original Male
Dana 44 front axle from a 1979 Ford 3/4 ton snow plow truck for solid axle swap.
Completely disassembled and built from scratch by Gary Johnsons differential in OKC.
Housing blasted and painted.
All new bearings seals, master install kit. Upgraded U-joints.
Dual piston brake calipers rebuilt.
Aftermarket Warn locking hubs
New Auburn locker
New Richmond 4.56 gears
32" spring perches
Drivers side drop
Straight center link
Flat top passenger knuckle
I.D. tag attached to front cover
7 leaf lift springs and plates
Original 8 lug Ford outters
This is basically a brand new upgraded axle inside and out. Also includes 52" Skyjacker 3" lift springs from rear of square body Chevy with new urethane bushings already installed!
On 88-98 Chevy trucks you will get 3" of lift from the springs themselves, 4" of lift from using the longer 52" springs plus the lift added by your new brackets. If you use the Sky Manufacturing brackets with the cross member you will get another 6" of lift for a total of 13" bolt on lift in the front. If you desire less lift or more articulation and softer ride you can remove the helper leaf and one or more additional leafs from the springs
Just FYI, there is a hydro cylinder that bolts onto this axle and center link if you want to find a salvage one. It can be connected to any steering box with
$2500
