700R4 dust cover

The guy I bought my truck from last year replaced the starter... should’ve checked the bolts. Appears I lost one and the next time I started it I damaged the dust cover. Truck is 4x4 with the supports.

Are all the 4x4 700r4 dust covers the same? Anyone have a part number? Truck is an 88.

I installed new GM starter bolts and thankfully it appears the starter and flex plate are fine.

Probably the same. If it helps I believe you can get one off -some- 2WD trucks; I had a few parts trucks with the V6 and for whatever reason they had the 4WD style covers with the braces. This includes 4L60E trucks, the one in my most recent memory was a 1994.

Hope your starter bolt is just missing, instead of broken off in the block..

Should go without saying, but don't start it again until you have that starter bolt situation resolved.
