So i have a 1994 C1500 with a 4L60E, 12 pin connector (non pwm) and i have this 1993 4L80E that i want to add in it’s place (pwm). What needs to be done to make it work?
I’ve been researching and one idea that came up was stake open the PWM valve and leave the solenoid unplugged to act like the on/off on the 4L60E, does anyone know if this would do premature damage to the transmission or how would i go about getting around the PWM? Or is there a better way to go about the swap?
